Description
ORA Hawkins Echinata Acropora
With origins from a German hobbyist and named after an ORA coral facility manager (Robert Hawkins), the ORA Hawkins Echinata acro is a classic with an interesting history.Even despite its gorgeous coloration, this old-school deep waterAcroporais revered for its short, delicate, tubular branches that resemble a spikey or thorny bush.It features a warm, silky teal to turquoise to aquamarine color that never fails to impress. Its tips turn bright blue-purple in color when under extremely bright lighting. What's more, it's famous for its fast growth under optimal conditions. It just gets better and better as the colony grows in size!Note: Due to its minimal slime coat, it is more prone to drying out when out of the water and is also more sensitive to iodine-based dips.
It is best placed at mid-top tank height under medium-high lighting with moderate-strong water flow.
