The orange plate coral is generally hardy in captivity!still, tank propagated specimens such as these offer the best chances of success for beginning reef aquarium hobbyists.Considerable care should be taken when handling this physically delicate animal.It prefers moderate lighting and moderate water flow.It is capable of stinging and thereby damaging neighboring corals, so it should be given plenty of living space.These LPS corals can inflate themselves up to twice their deflated size.Thus, they should not be placed on the hardscape as they may fall off while puffed up.These corals indeed look their best while resting over the sand bed.This super-bright orange strain is really something to behold!
