Fritz RPM salt makes saltwater that is truly like clean, naturalseawater.When prepared with purified make-up water, this product reliably mixes to an acceptable pH and buffering capacity. It contains all of the essential major and minor elements that are typically found in natural seawater (this is particularly important if you run aplanted refugium!).This top-shelf aquarium salt is appropriate for use in both diverse reef aquaria or in fish-only systems.It features enhanced calcium, magnesium and potassium levels to compensate for the typically rapid depletion that occurs in reef aquarium systems.It is completely nitrate-, phosphate- and ammonia-free.
Mixed with purified water to a specific gravity of 1.0264 (35 ppt salinity), this product makes the finest synthetic seawater with the following parameters:
- Calcium: 400-450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1300-1400 ppm
- Alkalinity: 8.0-9.0 dKH
- Strontium: 9 ppm
- Potassium: 400 ppm
