How much Dry Live Rock do I need?

We recommend 3/4 to 1.5 lb per gallon of display tank.We always recommend you purchase slightly more than you need.Extra live rock can also broken into smaller pieces and placed in a sump or refugium.

I will write a review since this website lacks reviews for their dry rock.

-First off, the price is well below competition at $2.25 per pound.If you are a veteran, nurse, or similar, you get an extra 15% off, which is generous and great.
-In terms of the dry rock, I ordered 100 pounds and asked for 3-4 large pieces, some medium sized pieces, and a variety of smaller (6-10 inch) pieces to aquascape.I got exactly that and there was minimal breakage during shipment (I maybe had 2-3 pounds of breakage, which is actually good so I can use them as fillers as I aquascape).The dry rock is extremely porous (which you want for critters and whatnot as well as more water filtration), "dry," and connects very well with each other for easy aquascaping.

I highly recommend getting the rock from here as its exactly what I wanted and the price beats competition.If I could upload pictures I would!however, the website does not have that capability.

I know, I know...It's not technically "live" rock!

However, I decided to get this rock instead of actual live rock from my local fish store because I was very tired of dealing with unwanted and unsightly pests that came with the live rock.The rocks came in various sizes and have a very nice shape to them.They definitely look a lot better than any of the base rock I could find locally either.Sure, they will take a little while to turn into actual live rock, but I think it is definitely worth the wait!
